I began reading about feng shui but found everything was conflicting with each other so I searched the Internet to find some way to tie it all together. The AFSI helped me to pull it together and also to rid my thoughts of the myths.

I did an analysis of my home. The instructor wrote back saying that there would be water damage if metal was not added in the back bedroom. I read this, printed it out and ran to show it to my husband, who also believes in feng shui. This past year, we had alot of rain and somehow, it managed to sneak in a hole in the roof (a hole that we never could find) and then it ran down the wood and onto the rafters where it proceeded to run across the rafter and then down through the ceiling in the back bedroom. When it was fixed, we had to not only reshingle the roof but also replace half of the roof boards. In addition, we had to rip out all of the drywall ceiling, replace some of the ceiling beams and replace the drywall and call in a painter. The entire ceiling in that room was ruined and not in any other room.

After going through the beginning, intermediate and advanced courses, I realized that our bed was in the wrong direction. I had not been sleeping well at all and had been having terrible nightmares nightly. I usually am a sound sleeper and rarely remember dreaming but we had recently moved the bed to a different wall. We moved the bed and that night, I slept very well and have had no more problems since.

We moved to our current home in the summer of 2003. We both felt great but in the early part of 2004, we began to feel that our relationship was not growing (it wasn’t dying but it wasn’t growing either) and I experienced a nagging threat of depression begin to settle in. When studying with AFSI early in 2005, I discovered that this home has a 20-year lock on people that began in February of 2004 and it is a reversed house! I spoke with my husband, and we are planning on putting in a large water pond and fountain in the back as soon as the ground thaws and to put earth in the front. At this point, we do not want to move because we purchased land and plan on building our new home in 2007. We are hoping that the large amount of water will help break the lock.

I am professor at a college and have used my training to help students who come to with me with problems. I have analyzed their homes and suggested remedies. Most of them have taken the advice and I have seen a remarkable difference in each of them.

I am so grateful for the instruction and instructors of AFSI. Thanks!!
