When readings refer to wife/husband, attracting men, etc….how can this be interpreted for gay/lesbian folk. I am sure in ancient China this was not addressed.

You are correct. There is no discussion of gay/lesbian in Chinese Feng Shui or related practices.
There are discussions on this topic in the graduate bulletin board. If you search, you should find the topics and how certain remedies will affect people to attract a same sex partner.
