|
|
There has been a lot of problems with searching for specific number combinations. The following is the official note, but we have come up with a context below that will improve this in the future.
| Quote: | | phpBB 2 uses a Fulltext search system, this has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that on large or busy forums it has far less impact on server load than standard search methods as used by many alternative forums (including phpBB 1.x). The disadvantage is that to reduce the size of the database (every post is examined and unique words stored in a table) we have to limit the size and type of words we store. By default words must contain at least three characters but no more than 25, they must be either alpha or combinations of alpha and numerals (numbers alone are not stored). In addition all non-alphanumeric characters are removed, eg. _, +, -, etc. This is standard practice for fulltext search solutions. |
So 6-8 won't work, but 6p8m would. Also don't forget to select "Search for all terms" when searching. This expands the search. I think that adding the p & m to your numbers would help in the future and searching this way now does yield a lot of posts.
So please in the future type #h#a (house and annual) or #p#m or #p#m#a for your people, money and annual numbers, so that they will be searchable, where # is the number. ie. 6p8m5a. The board will NOT ignore the comma in the search. So 6p8m,5a will not work, unless you search specifically for this. _________________ Web: http://www.168fengshui.com

I do not understand the conventions used for combinations : what do you mean by p for 'people' and m for 'money. I only know #b for base star, #m for mountain star and #w for water star.
Thank you |

Hi,
I am writing this from an Internet Cafe in Tokyo. I hope all goes well on this post.
People is Mountain star
Money is Water star
Construction is same as Base star
Just different NAMES for different stars sorry about caps. I am stuck in Katakana mode.
